Traffic-Aware Routing
Learn when to use traffic-aware routing and how plan limits work.
Traffic-aware routing uses traffic information when refreshing or optimizing a route.
It can help when drive time matters, especially during busy parts of the day.
When it helps
Traffic-aware routing is useful when:
- Routes happen during rush hour.
- Stops are far apart.
- You need a better idea of drive time.
- You are comparing route options for the same day.
Turn it on only when needed
Traffic-aware routing may have monthly limits based on your plan.
Leave it off when traffic does not matter. Turn it on when you want traffic included in the route refresh or optimization.

Plan requirements
Not every plan includes traffic-aware routing.
If your plan does not include it, the app will show an upgrade message with a link to subscription options.
